Easy Homemade Meatloaf

A family favorite that pairs perfectly with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a crisp green salad.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1 onion minced fine
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • GLAZE
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1/3 cup ketchup

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. In a large bowl, combine meat, onion, egg, milk, bread crumbs, salt and pepper.
  3. Form into a loaf and place in an oiled baking pan.
  4. In a small bowl, combine glaze ingredients. Spoon half over the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for 1 hour, or until internal temperature reaches 160º, spooning the remaining glaze over the meatloaf for the last 15 minutes. Rest 10 minutes before serving.
